Charles Ghunney is a youth leader and Co-founder/President of Wise Youth Foundation, a youth-led, youth-focused organization based in Winneba, Ghana that educates and empower young people particularly girls by providing education and resources on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health, Mental Health, Gender Based Violence(GBV) etc.
Charles is a licensed teacher, an entrepreneur and holds a bachelor’s degree in English Language education from the University of Education, Winneba. He is a member of the Young African Leader’s Initiative Network (YALI). He is also a google certified entry-level Project manager. Over the years, he has gained experience in working in the private sector as marketing executive for a couple of companies. He also has gained rich experience in youth engagement and participation by attending several conferences including National Adolescent Reproductive Health Summit, African Youth SDGs Summit etc.
 
As a youth advocate, Charles reckons the challenges young people particularly girls from vulnerable communities encounter daily and takes keen interest in participating in conversations that stimulate solutions, knowledge sharing and empowerment. He believes in a society where every one young person is given the opportunity to harness his or her potential to the fullest without difficulty and is able to express and contribute meaningfully to that society.
