Becoming the First Was About Assignment, Not Recognition

When the Journey Begins Quietly

Some journeys start without applause or confidence. They begin with questions, uncertainty, and a quiet whisper from God saying, keep going. This journey was never guaranteed. It unfolded through grace, humility, and steady obedience.

Within my family stand many remarkable people. Educated minds. Purpose driven lives. Deep gifts. This story does not rise from comparison or self elevation. It rests in acknowledgment. A path entrusted to me within my direct maternal and paternal line.

Becoming the First in Unfamiliar Territory

Over time, doors opened and placed me in unfamiliar positions.

The first to build a life overseas.
The first to write and publish books with international reach.
The first to merge ministry and mental health on global platforms.
The first to serve internationally as a faith leader and mental health advocate.
The first to establish and own businesses overseas, including a non clinical healthcare company in Columbus, Ohio.
The first within my immediate lineage to serve as counselor, ambassador, and community bridge builder.

None of these roles were planned. They unfolded. Each came with responsibility as much as privilege.

Formed Beyond Titles and Platforms

Life shaped me beyond visibility.

As a son, guided by a praying mother and a resilient father.
As a brother, learning leadership through patience.
As a husband, growing in partnership and shared purpose.
As a father, biological and spiritual, guarding entrusted hearts.
As a pastor, walking with people through valleys and victories.
As a mental health advocate, restoring dignity and emotional awareness.
As a writer, leaving footprints through words.
As a counselor, sitting with vulnerability.
As an ambassador, carrying hope across borders.

The Weight and Wisdom of Being First

There were seasons of silence and sacrifice. Moments where the assignment felt heavier than progress. Yet one truth stayed steady.

Being the first is not a position.
Being the first is stewardship.

Carl Jung wrote, “The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.” Becoming continues. One step. One prayer. One assignment at a time.

A Message to Those Walking Uncharted Paths

If you are stepping into unfamiliar ground, walk humbly. Walk wisely. Walk with faith. You are not moving forward for yourself alone. You are clearing space for generations who will walk with greater freedom because you began.

If you are navigating purpose, identity, leadership, transition, or emotional weight, support exists.
